I recently had a Superb 3 and noticed the key fob had a much greater range as well as a metal cover without prohibiting the wireless KESSY function.

 

I now have the same metal cover on my Superb 2 key but the range is abysmal. The battery is already new.

 

Is there a way to increase the range of the KESSY system or make it work better close range to the car with a metal key cover, like it did on the S3?

 

I stumbled across this, can this be done on the S2 as well? Did already someone do it and made photos from the mod?

that kind of defeats the purpose of a KESSY system :(
