Engine temperature fluctuating
I'm also having this issue but not on a new one! I drove the other day in 8°c for half an hour and still didn't reach 70 on the temp gauge and when I stopped in a que with engine idling it dropped to 50! Not sure if I can replace it myself or not?

Bonnet will not open.
I had a very sticky catch when I bought my car, fortunately for me it wouldn't lock shut so could get it home on the catch and a lot of WD40 and manually activating the catch system freednit up but doesnt help much with not opening! May have gummed up inside making it difficult for the catch to open?

Superb Mk11 thermostat
Hi guys, Has anoyone got any tips for replacing the thermostat on a 2Ltdi 4x4 elegance? I have looked at a few you tube clips which show the replacement process but was unsure if you need to drain the system fully and if so is there a bleeding process to follow when filling again? Thanks in anticipation J

To map or not to map!
I always flip from manual to automatic when coming into bends or roundabouts, that way you are always in the right gear without lag giving you better traction! I have never had a re map so couldn't help you with that! I know what you mean if it's in auto all the time there is a lag when you put your foot down but like I say if you use the manual side of the box inconjunction with auto it solves the problem!

Oem dog/luggageguards
I have a travall dog guard for my car, I'm not sure about oem fit but my guard utilises the rear seat anchors to secure the guard prior to closing the rear seats. The rest of the guard rests on the plastic liners very secure!

Superb 2 Bend Lighting and Xenon Self Levelling (AFS) Function Not Working
I had this on my car, it turned out the rear speed.sensor needed replacing! Odd I know, why should that effect my lights? However when I changed it all was good and worked well! You will probably find the headlight washers dont work either!! Hipe this helps!

European maps for Columbus
Hi all, Pab567 has kindly shared his knowledge and knowhow and brought my Columbus head unit back to life! Obviously the updae has wiped maps off the system during update! Does anyone have a link to European maps I could load by chance? Thanks in advance.
