Hello, a few days ago, my car started making strange noises from the engine. It started off mild at first but gradually got worse; however, I needed to continue driving. The noise was most pronounced during acceleration, and I felt like the sound was synchronized with how the turbo was pushing. It sounded somewhat high-pitched but also deep, with a slight knocking noise, as if something was rubbing against each other. At one point, the car went into limp mode, which turned off after I restarted the engine. However, a little while later, the car stalled and couldn't be restarted.

During diagnostics, I discovered the problem code P0299 - Control Range Not Reached, which means the turbo wasn't boosting, likely leading to the car going into limp mode. I'm not sure if this error is related to the noise. I'm somewhat concerned and think the engine might have seized up. I have an appointment with the service, but unfortunately, they don't have immediate availability, so I'll have to wait a while. I'm attaching a video of the problem. video of the issue

Don't know the problem but it sounds a bit like a turbo but I would not be surprised if it was a cam shaft either way not a cheap repair
