Superb Speed limiter and cruise control stops working randomly

Featured Replies

The speed limiter on My 2020 2.0 TSI Superb fails occasionally and an orange warning triangle appears with an audible “dong”. The cruise control fails at the same time. Turning off and on works sometimes - until it fails again. Any ideas, please?

Have the same 2.0 TSI  MY2020  build car that had the same problem about 12 months ago. Also noticed that on mine when the CC stopped working the horn did as well,

Recorded the fault when it occurred ( as requested by Skoda dealer) and they replaced a module in the steering column under warranty, Sorry not too technical just said replaced switch on the receipt.

To date I have not had any repeats and my CC ( and horn) are working perfectly

Hope this helps

Is there any way you could find out more as to what was replaced? I only changed octavia to 2020 superb recently and just noticed that this has happened to me few times with ACC and today appeared that horn isn't working too when ACC isn't switching on. Only got this car few weeks ago and still under dealer warranty (unfortunately not skoda dealer). I had my car scanned with OBDeleven and had 1 fault for bus comms error and about battery undervoltage.

Not sure it’s very helpful but my problem was fixed under warranty (saving me over £500!).

Don’t know exactly what was replaced but I think it was the lever (and associated switch) that controls Cruise Control and Speed Limiter. Hope this helps.

Hi StoneFist85 ,

Sorry for the late reply but it has taken me a while to get the info you asked for;

They  replaced the following ;

                                                     1 x 5Q1953521JEIGI   Switch

                                                     1 x N 90799102

                                                     1 x J527  control module

15 months on and still working perfectly.

Hope this helps and good luck

Hi StoneFist85

The second part number N 90799102 is a screw

All the best
