Planning on getting Ampire WFS-400 Pro immobiliser - need advice pls :-)

Featured Replies

So …. I’ve just spent a small fortune on a day van conversion for my Caravelle and have been seduced by the idea of the Ampire WSF-400 Pro - similar to the Ghost 2 canbus immobilisers.

The thing is though that I’ve managed to negotiate a good deal on a pair of them, one for the Caravelle and one for my Superb II Combi (3T). The Superb II isn’t listed in their compatibility PDF but the Superb III with keyless entry is.

Can anyone advise me of the overlapping VW / Audi / Seat models that might show up under their own marque so I can make a bit more of an informed judgement.

The Combi is a 3T with MFSW, Columbus head unit and all of the stock buttons that would be on a 170CR SE DSG so I’m confident that a similarly spec’d A4, Golf, Passat etc would be a close enough fit if I could work out which ones those are.

For reference,  the Ghost 2 seems to be available fitted for around £400 so the Ampire WSF-400 pro, mail order from a dealer at 2 for £405 inc postage is quite compelling. If it will fit on the Superb II without too much fiddling.

I'm happy enough with the install process, its more the uncertainty over which specific matching VAG programming in the unit will closely match.

So, in short, which other VAG model codes are likely to be a close match for a Superb 3T.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer 👍
