Where is the "Air Quality Sensor" ? B10AF fault code.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just scanned my MY2018 Mk3.

I've got a fault code on "08 Auto HVAC" Control Unit: B10AF [009] - Internal System Fault Confirmed.

Wiki Ross-tech states this is a common failure on VAG group vehicles which can be solved by replacing this sensor.

Does anyone know where this sensor is located?

Does it need any calibration once replaced?

P/N would be a great help too to order it before I access the old one. This would save me from accessing the sensor location twice

TIA for your help.

Common failure. It's located under the scuttle panel on the passenger side (I'd assume your driver's side).

There is a TPI for it, see if ur Skoda service center will replace it for u.

TPI - 2049398/3

I've been getting the same error too.

The part number I've got in Gandalf currently is 5Q0907643C.

I've ordered a replacement part 5Q0907643F.

Hopefully this fixes the problem.

Thank you guys for such quick answers!

I've just look for this P/N on 2 french spare parts websites. One says it's no more available and the other one sells it at ~ €140! 😱

Another possibility is to buy one for €30 to €50 + another €30 shipping costs from a dutch websites...

I'll ask the price at my local dealer before I decide where to buy it.

Hi,

I went to my local dealer yesterday to get the 'normal' price: €170... Ouch! Just for a plain sensor, it hurts! 😳

£8.95 (€10.33) here on AliExpress. Worth a go at that price?!

I know some spart parts dealers make insane mark-ups, bu I’m still reluctant to buy cheap electric parts on Ali. This may sound silly, but I fear it may cause an electric fire. Many smart phone owners have experienced this with cheap chinese batteries.

My vehicle has the basic poverty spec heating and AC system (Climatic?) and not Climatronic, it seems to have just as many flaps, motors & encoders, sensors etc around it but lacks the program refinements, could I be lucky in that my vehicle will not have this sensor?

I suppose I could check the measuring blocks for the HVAC module in VCDS to find out otherwise.

Climatic wont have it, only climatronic

Excellent news, yet another bullet dodged!

Fortunately I've found this AQS for €65 to €80 on 2 other French spare parts websites.

I'll nevertheless have a look to mine before ordering, to be sure I buy the right one. I've just noticed indeed that Hella proposes 2 AQS (2 different Hella P/N) complying with the 5Q0 907643C OEM reference.
