MIB1 to MIB2 - CarPlay Access

Featured Replies

I’ve got a 2013 Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020) with the unit in picture (current).

I found this cheap MIB2 screen/radio unit in the later pictures from a 2016 same make Octavia and I have 2 questions:

1. What other parts/software are needed to replace this correctly?

2. I'm doing this to have Apple CarPlay working. Is that guaranteed to workout or could I not do that myself?

Hi @Aitchuk what was the outcome?

Looking to do the same thing and wondering is it just plug and play while swapping or something else should be done as well.

First patch (hack) then Plug&Play

What is needed for patching (hacking)?

Depends on the unit, but basically good knowledge of unit based systems, especially QNX.
