Hi guys, i have a skoda fabia mk1 with 1.9 ATD engine. I wish to swap engine with a golf mk4 1.9 ASZ, and have some questions.

 

Are they a direct swap? Do they use the same engine mounts? And what about the shafts? What other things should be changed. 

 

I will be running a custom ECU.

Can't answer your question directly but I do spend far too much time doing similar parts swapping across VW models. Have a look at any of the online versions of EKTA, I like lllparts.co.uk as they have the most upto date version, and see if the same parts are used on each engine.
