Late up shifts

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone
About a week ago my mechatronic died and I took it to the dealer to replace it with a good one.
Since then, I recognize my upshifts between 2nd to 3rd are really late,
my car used to upshift before 2k rpm and now it upshifts just after 2k rpm
it happens between 3rd to 4th as well.
my avg fuel consumption increased and I think its because of that as well.
is there any solution for that?
Thanks in advanced

Welcome,

If you think they did something wrong have them correct it.

I take it this is a DQ200 DSG.

?

How much did you pay the Dealer?

If it was a Genuine Replacement part you have a 2 year parts and labour warranty so they need to do the job properly.

I paid 1200$
I can take it back to the dealer but I thought maybe is there a quick fix that maybe I can do myself.

There is nothing you can do if they got the correct MCU yet installed wrongly?

?

What country are you in.

In Australia there are Recalls, the 3rd now on the MCU,s.

This is nothing to do with the one from 2009-2012,   there was another from 2013-2015 for a software update, but in Audtralia it covers cars up to 2016.
