Grangemouth Loss Making Refinery to close. Maybe a setback to the UK,s Energy Security and something the current UK & Scottish Government had not expected.

They should have taken it into account when issuing Oil & Gas Exploration Licences for the North Sea.

The Government was warned about Taxing the Companies out of the UK waters and it is easy for a Chinese State Owned business partner of Sir Jim Ractciff's Ineos to do what ever they want to do.

Begging and giving Tax Breaks now are not going to keep them operating as loss makers, even if it did with the Steel Industry time after time.

Ineos bought from BP the Forties Pipeline from the North Sea to the Aberdeenshire coastline and onto Grangemouth and then the oil & gas being transported was reduced during the Covid years.

Grangemouth is to be used for importation & storage of fuel and there is more to Grangemouth than just the refinery.

There are a few other refineries in the UK left but Grangemouth deals with North Sea oil which is different from what others does and there is a Cracking Plant.

The story is just beginning.

There will be lots of spin and counter spin.

This was put out a few hours ago and seems at odds with what is in the title, content & with the video above that was out a good while before.

The Daily Record.    Useful for wrapping fish in or maybe starting fires.

The Video's use for getting the story, so so.
