Heater Support Pump

Featured Replies

Hi Guys!

I got a 1.6 CR TDI skoda octavia.(2017,DDYA)

Yesterday my mechanic had to change some of my heater support pump (because he broke it and installed an aftermarket one), which is in the back side of the engine, under the DPF filter. So now i got engine light on.

This is what my vcds show:

My main question is: Do i got the error because of the aftermarket heater support pump or another one got bad?

I attach a picture, where you can see the test datas.

Thank you!

(Sorry for my bad english)

This is only my opinion. If, as you state, that the pump was changed on the 6th December then I would assume by the date shown on the error log i.e. Date: 2023.12.04 and the fact that the fault frequency = 1 that this error would be from the old pump and the fault just needs to be cleared.

Your mechanic should deal with it no? Unless i'm missing something.

If a working genuine part was broken by the mechanic, a working genuine part should be refitted. Not an aftermarket faulty replacement?

And surely if the mechanic either broke or replaced a part, they should be looking into the fault?

I tried to clear the fault code but it appear everytime. The car got 280.000km, he had to remove it because of the work procedure. He do not have time for it in this month, and i am a taxi driver and i need the car to work.
