Accelerator lag

Featured Replies

There's a slight but annoying lag or hesitation to the response when depressing the accelerator pedal from coasting in any gear.

This problem arose following a timing belt change but could be a coincidence.

Welcome.

A Mod can move this to the Fabia Section if they know if a Mk2 or actually a Mk3 that first were built late 2014 and delivered first then or early 2015.

Showing to the left as a 2013 is it a Mk2 Fabia?

?

What engine,

What Gearbox.

How many miles was it that you had the timing belt changed at?

Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

It's a Fabia SE L TSI 90 PS Hatch. Manual gearbox. First reg Oct 2015.

Timing belt changed at 30439 miles. Current mileage just over 31000.

Just this morning had spark plugs changed. Too soon to tell if that's made a difference.

What else could be causing this?

Thanks again.

A 4 cylinder 1.2 TSI then.

& low mileage.

Since July Skoda / VW removed the advice to have the cam belt replaced at 5 years / 50,000 miles.   But at least it is done and really that should not have messed it up.

But whoever did it are the ones to check, surely there is a 2 years parts and labour warranty if it was a main dealership.

The Spark plugs are a good ca;; as they were due changing at 4 years / 40,000 miles.

?

Is there a nice clean air filter in? has it even been checked?

If it is running any better now would still run a tank or 2 of E5 Super Unleaded 97 or 99 ron if you usually use E10 95 unleaded, just to see if any more improvement.
