Octavia Vrs 2023 - Moisture/condensation in Matrix headlights

Featured Replies

Hi forum. Anyone have similar problems? Driving at night with fogged matrix headlights is bit of problem. It happens every time when it rains or in carwash after engine is hot on both lamps.

Octavia Vrs Tsi 2023. I assume they will replace at dealer.

Thanks

I don't know Croatian consumer rights law, but in the EU and UK a new car warranty would apply and the replacement would be at no cost to you.

Croatia's in the EU - even adopted the Euro earlier this year.

They didnt accept my more important complaints like gearbox hit from 2-3 gear change , loosen right wheel or something, so I assume they will accept this. Thanks anyway

It's normal don't worry

Mine also does it, but I'm waiting for it to stop raining before investigating - should be around late March next year.

I also had this. I reported here before.

The dealer kinda went "that's normal". Mine somehow fixed itself.......

Moisture is even worse when headlights wash them self. I assume because of washer fluid is warm because engine temperature, then it gets on cold headlight from outside...

I'm sure it's in the manual about the headlight misting and it's normal

It is normal, from page 50 in the owners manual, under Troubleshooting:

The headlights are misted up on the inside
Inside the headlights, moisture may occur. This is not
a defect.

You need to see actual full droplets for them to do anything. My front right headlight was recently replaced, I had water in it and even visible dust. Later on it fully cracked while I was waiting for the part to arrive at the dealer.

cracked, no damage whatsoever to the car, but looks like it cracked exactly on the line where all the water sits when hood is closed.

so basic no warranty can cover this unless there is water in hedlights. but u can use ppv for protection. there will be no more fog
