ARB bushes

Featured Replies

Now SWMBO is driving the Octy regularly she has started to complain about the creaks and groans given off by the ARB bushes

Are these easy to DIY replace? I assume OEM ones are nice and cheap too ?

Cheap enough, should also get the modded brackets for them.

Easy to do.

Skoda dealer is bloody miles away - Will a VW dealer know?

I was planning on just giving them a list of part numbers.

Yeah Golf MK4 will be the same, wil probably stock them aswell.

Thanks again, Ross

Whats with the modded brackets, as i just had mine changed a while ago and it's back to creaking like a very creaky thing again.

Not 100% sure but they have changed the bracket design slightly, I think its located the bush slightly different.

Take it a main dealer will know what I am on about if i ask?

I thought the problem was from the plastic sleeve that goes around the anti roll bar, the bushes then sit around these..... My ones had cracked after the bar rusted and thus expanded:confused:

Still Neuspeed ones fixed it now:D

I will have a look at the weekend. Maybe even your Fairy Liquid trick will sort it, Phil ;)

On the vRS yes, different ARB to the regular 1.8T.

SOrry to go off topic a little, but how does that relate to the TDI, does this have modified parts?

TDi is the same as the 1.8T, so yes it would have.
