howdy all,

 

I need to replace the boot on my 2016 tsi estate after someone kindly damaged.  Does anyone know if the hatchback boot (of the same model) fits? Am also looking to know if there are any specialst Skoda breakers in the UK as looking on eBay etc. boots for an estatejust dont seem to be for sale at all, they all seem to be hatchback boots.

Good morning Doug, unfortunately, I think the two hatches are completely different size.

I just checked SHMBOs Fabia rear hatch with my Octavia combi - they are a lot more similar than I thought - if there isn't someone on here with a definite answer, are you able to get accurate measurements to check if they match? 

A Dealership Parts department can tell you the Part Number of a Hatch & an Estate rear Hatch, if the parts are not available on line.

 

Is this Blue one for a Mk3?

Hiya - yes I'd spotted both of those, and they were kind of the reason I posted (I didnt mention the 2022 - mk4? boot), thought is best to consult the colletive wisdom rather than taking an expensive punt!

I tried some parts lists but i am on a slow connection & did wonder how many Mk4 Estates they built.

So that is from one of those.

 

Have you just asked a Parts Department employee to check the part numbers? 

Hello @doughobbs I found what might possibly be useful information on the Ross-Tech forum - try a search on www.partslink24.com. It seems that, apart from the roof and rear quarters, a lot of the panels are identical.
