Please i need help!!! I would like to upgrade my bulbs to off the shelf LED. What is the best way?

You do know that replacement LED bulbs in cars are an MOT fail?

Wow I didn’t know that, it applies the same to the interior lightings or number plate bulbs? I was about to replace interior bulbs with LED ones, was just wondering if they may cause any kind of issue with the cars ECU? 
Any suggestions are appreciated

Interior lights are not testable.
