Fuel pump relay

Featured Replies

Got a Fabia mk3 1.4tdi 3 cylinder which won’t start, turns over fine but doesn’t fire up.
Doesn’t anyone know where the fuel pump relay is? I searched but cannot find an actual location.

fuel pump is fine as it works when I connect it to a battery but no power getting to it when the key is turned.
thanks

Location 1b houses what's described as 'fuel pump encoder'.

So I’ve removed the relay and checked it and it works as it should, checked the others too and all seem fine. Fuses are all ok too.
any other ideas why fuel pump wouldn’t be working?

I'll pop back to the circuits for a look-see.

Engine code would be handy.

Engine is cusb 1.4tdi 90hp

Ta, so check engine bay fuse no. 14 (10 Amp), which supplies the coil of that relay amongst other things.

Then cabin fuse no.49 (25 amp) which is power that the relay switches to the fuel pump.

If both of those are OK it may be that the engine ECU isn't grounding the other side of the relay coil 'cos it's unhappy with something.

Hi all

Sorry to necropost, but @Olimk1 did you find a solution for your issue?

@Breezy_Pete I'm struggling to find info about the relays online. Do you know where I can find he diagram with the relay functions? And what's the best way to get to them? I can feel them with my hand, but I guess if have to take some of dash apart to get to them?

Thanks

The fuel filter, is it one you can take the top off? Check it's full.
