Polo 6C reversing camera - removal/cleaning

Featured Replies

Mrs Gaz just told me she thinks she's scratched her reversing camera.

On going out to check, I don't think it is scratched, just that it's got muck between the lens and plastic cover:

I can see, looking online that it's a clip-in unit with no (apparent) screws.  What I can't see, nor find the answer to, is whether I can just yank it out, or if I need to get to the other side of the bumper to release the locking tabs.  Anyone know which it is please?

I have wondered if I can just pop out the round clear plastic lens cover to clean it, but I know my luck if it try.  I'm quite happy to buy a new camera if it's a sealed unit, but it's working fine, save for the blurry image.
