THE current mobile to go for?

Featured Replies

Purely on £££ I could get back only? ;)

Have just switched to a £30 talkplan with Orange with the intention of getting my current £26+ broadband for free through them, as they have now taken over wanadoo's internet, and I currently pay £10 a month (ish) for a 15p a minute, 10p a text, no line rental contract. :) On July 11th I get a free upgrade apparently as well as get my braodband for free from then, so what phone should I ask for? I doubt I'll keep it as my current older Nokia does me fine as a phone, so I'd probably just sell it to someone I know. Will be avoiding Ebay like the plague on it.

So whats the most techie, expensive phones out there then? :D (and what you would normally get on an upgrade with an Orange talk plan too)

This help?

Sony Ericsson K750i or W800i are real popular as is the Samsung D600.

I've heard the Nokia N91 is quite good. I'll probably go for something like that when my Vodafone contract is up and move to Orange for the same reason.

Yeah that one too but you'll pay for it.

I got the Samsung D600 when I took out a new T-Mobile Flex-T contract - and immediately sold it for £170 to a friend at work whose daughter wanted it.

That pays for for the first 11 months of my 18 month contract, and like you I'm quite happy with my old Nokia.

Thanks for all the tips. Shall bear these in mind when it comes to upgrade time.

My GF has just done exactly this, we looked on Ebay at the most popular phones that she could get for free. In the end we went for a SE W810i and got £203 for it.

Basically anything newish and fairly high spec is going to get decent money, wangle an 8800 out of them and pocket about £300 from Ebay.

If anyone wants to place an order with me? Go ahead.:D

i've got a sony W900, looks aren't great but v. user friendly, probably same as W810 but this has got 3g as well, have a look at that one!

Just got a Nokia N80, damn good phone and i have heard quite a few people saying the same thing. Should fetch at least £300 on ebay, but possibly more like £400, unfortunatly i cant go and look at the mo. I paid £150 for mine when it had only been out on orange for 3 days, and got £100 credit for giving them some crappy old phone that i dont think worked.
