Interior light doesnt come one when opening

Just got my self a Octavia VRS estate mk3 2020 in grey. Absolutely love the thing so far!

Small one - the interior lights only work when manually turning on, should they be coming on when unlocking or doors opening? and also maybe when engine switches off?

 

There are 3 positions of the interior light switch; on, off and on with open door - have you tried all 3 positions?

    Common problem, the circuit board has probably burnt out. The rear lights go through the front light unit so they all turn on together when the doors open. It's becoming increasingly common on Octavia's and is already common on mk5/mk6 Golf's, Audi A3s, Passat's, etc. It can be fixed if you know what you are doing or buy new (over £200) or just live with it.
