@Crucian  IME one recommendation over another rarely helps when asking for a recommendation for something such as a chair. I think the best thing you can do is get to an office supplies place/ furniture store and try them out for yourself. Maybe PC World even have some now IDK

We're all different shapes and sizes etc so what might work for person A may well be completely inappropriate for the next person.

This is good advice. I spent a while in Ikea checking out all the seats before settling on the one I did.

The adjustable lumbar support did it for me, but I'm a big bloke (6'4") so I need a big chair with decent back support.

Definitely try before you buy.

In general, I would suggest ignoring anything marketed for "gaming". It's overpriced junk.

Focus on office chairs, especially 'operator' chairs designed for 24 hour use, such as dispatchers, reception, security or similar. They usually have quite firm padding, but this is what makes them so supportive and comfortable over long periods.

You can find a Pledge Solar for quite reasonable money and it has a wealth of adjustment. Ticks all your boxes and beyond, including inflatable lumbar support.

Either an Ikea Markus if you're on a budget(ish)

Or if you're after a proper gaming chair then check out Noble
