my warning sound that i have left my lights on has stopped working everything else is working fine its a 2011.1.2 hpi has anybody had this fault before, i have read a few things about it but there does not seem to be a definitive answer thanks in advance mark

I've got the same problem in my 2005 Skoda Octavia II. Also this affects the warning sound for the missing seat belt, etc...

What i read was that this could be a problem with the column inside the quadrant and replacing the column could solve the problem.

The problem is that i can't find anything or any shop that sells the column.

The common answer seems to be the microswitch in the door lock but also check under the rubber bellows where the wiring goes into the door, mine had 2 broken wires and a few others getting to close to breaking, it seems a common fault, I soldered mine with a bit of heat shrink over and now have warning buzzer working again and door open warning shows on the maxidot again.
