Removal of interior light switch in roof of car

Recommended Posts

Good morning, i have an issue with my interior lights not coming on when any of the doors open. I have traced the issue to the overhead light switch so I was wondering how I get access to the switch; will the whole overhead unit have to be removed or can I get access to just the switch? Thks

It's easy to do, just prise off the two plastic covers in the middle of the panel and there should be two torx screws (T20 I think) that need to be taken out.  Once they are out it should come down, I prised off the rearmost cover too to push it down from above.  I found that the contact on the switch just need to be bent a little more to get it working again.
