Using the ‘unread content’ filter will allow me to see all the posts I’ve not previously read but since there’s some items I’ve got no interest in they will obviously continue to reappear every time I log on. Apart from opening each thread to suggest it’s been read, is there any way I can go in and clear everything down, leaving me a clean sheet as it word every time I log out? Have tried the ‘mark site read’ filter but that still seems to leave those threads I’ve not read.

Hope that makes sense 🤞

Well I don't know how much use this will be but I use the "Mark (sub)forum read" button, like for example I use it regularly on the Enyaq (sp?) forum because I have zero interest in the model.

Thanks Paws, may help . . . but how do you filter out those sub-forums. Like you, I’ve no interest in the Enyaq and indeed many other sections so would be good to get shot of those

Go to the Forums page; you'll see level one subfora in Briskoda green with a downward pointing arrow at the RHedge. For example "Welcome to Briskoda". I never read that so I pressed the downward arrow, which changed the banner colour to a paler green, the down arrow to a left arrow, and hid all the level 2 subfora under the L1. I've also done this with "Freedom Supporters area" (because I'm not), Marketplace, Sponsors Section and Club Forums. This cuts down consiterably on the number of L2 titles I even see, but I can't suggest a way of hiding an individual L2 title in, say, Skoda Owner Forums although I never read Enyaq, and rarely look at the various Suburban Useless Vehicle (SUV) models.

Thank you. Have done that so hopefully will weed out some of the stuff I don’t generally look at. Knowing now how it’s filtered, like you, I can’t see there’s any way to drop sub-sections within any of the remaining sections. If there is then perhaps someone from Admin will pick up on the post and let us all know

Awfully sorry for the late reply, I've only just come across this @BTandSid.

There is another way to view the forum and filter out what interests you. We call it 'fluid'.

Note: This will not mark all the other threads as 'READ'. So, you'll have to keep marking them so. If you only care about certain sections. Then this way is best.

On the main forum home page - where I have highlighted, press the fluid button. You will now see it like below.

On the right hand side, there will be a filter list. I have MK1 Octavia and Fabia checked.

Also, you can make whole categories as read if you click on the GREEN icon next to the category title

Example:
[GEEEN ICON] Hellos and Goodbyes

Clicking mark 'site as read' should do the whole site too.
