I drive a 2013 Skoda Octavia and the sound quality from the Admundsen is really poor, generally when listening to speaking pod casts.

 

So I'd like to try and update the firmware, is this a good start to help fix this issue? - although I dont want to generate more issues just want to fix the sound quality.

A firmware update plus enabling up Skoda Surround will go a long way to improving audio quality.
