High rev on DSG shifting down

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

Just bought 2011 VRS TDI DSG with 110k miles with full service history, yet the DSG had only one documesnted service at 41K - might have had another one but no evidence. The garage has done a full service history with DSG oil and filter change.

I love the car especially being automatic and have a huge boot. Only problem is noticeable over reving after shifting down D5 to D4 and D4 to D3. No jurking and not with any other gear shift either up or down. Not sure whether it's gearbox or clutch issue! Tried dsg reset via OBDeleven only managed to activate "transmission tolerance" every time I try "DSG adaptation" option it says "function not available"!

Your input would be much appreciated.

Is that with the shifter in D and the gears shifting down automatically and not you doing manual downshifts?

Yes. Haven't use manual shifting much to be honest. might be a good idea to see if it will have the same issue.
