Oil change and DSG mat recall

Featured Replies

Hi all

I got the DSG heat mat recall the other day and I am looking at getting it booked in

But I am also due a oil change in 4500 miles am at 14k miles since new I am on the fixed price servicing plan will the dealer change my oil or will they not bother until the car flags up that it needs a service

VRS 2.0TDI btw

Oil changes on Variable @ 24 months, or 18,000-20,000 miles.

Have the Service / Oil & Filter change done when you want.    The Dealership does not own your car.

Get it booked in for the oil change and heat mat at the same time, you don't have to wait.

I'm scheduled to have an oil change at the end of August, I'll get it done at the end of July, to stop the computer nagging me everyday or time I start it.

I have booked mine in for the recall and the day after it popped up 30 days to oil service so phoned them and booked the oil change

But 4500 miles to the oil change is a long way away, you don't say the year of yours but that is roughly about six months driving and nowadays using synthetic oil you don't need to change too often

The OP,s car shows at the left as a 2023 car & they have already done 14,000 miles.

If they want to stick to Variable and go as long as they can til the Oil & Service change then fair enough.

Not much getting done anyway and maybe not even the Pollen Filter, but it should get done.

Actually Skoda should be paying for a Service since they ball-sed up and have people wasting time taking cars in since it is Safety Critical and they need to check before someone might die.

Fixed regime, not variable.
