Microphone

Does anyone have issues with their microphone not picking up their voice very well?

Every time I make a hands-free call from the car - either on Android Auto or simple bluetooth, the recipient of the call states that they can't hear me very well, that I sound really distant even though I can hear them perfectly well.

If I'm using Android Auto to respond to a text - eg via google voice controls, it works intermittently.   It will ask me "do you want to respond" and sometimes when I say "yes" it works, but more often than not it doesn't recognise my response.

Is this a fault anyone else has come across - and if so, is there an easy fix (as if!!!!)
