I have a 2010 Octavia L&M 1.8TSI and I need to replace the disc brakes and pads, the disks are 14 years old.

 

I want to order the same size as existing but I am having trouble identifying the correct size as different size discs come up depending where I search.

 

The pr no. is 1Z3 (I think).

 

Could a forum member please advise what size I should be looking for, please.

Front, rear or both? 1KS is the PR code for the rears, I think.

 

PR codes for front brakes are always absent from the sticker in my experience. Include the VIN and I can look up for you though.

Both. They have never been replaced since new and are now rusted and pitted. I bought the car new.

 

I had an MOT advisory so want to sort out all these problems.

That's not going to help with fronts.

@tetley  Why not just whip the wheel off and measure the discs and confirm the pad shape too ?

I've never got the wrong bits doing that and comparing against specs & photos on ECP.

I would do but I'dont have any tools yet. Need to buy a jack, axel stands, hammer etc.

 

I have found the rear discs at Autodoc - SKF branded. VKBD 90041 S2.

 

I was hoping to identify the front before ordering everything I need. Make a list and go from there.
