Rear bumper standard vs vrs?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Today I finally had good enough weather to change my badges and de-badge where I wanted to.

I had bought new a rear bumper protector, however upon removing the horrible silver one from the previous owner (who for some stupid reason unknown had drilled/screwed it into the bumper!!!) there is slight damage on the lip that the cover went over on the edge of the bumper, I'm guessing which is why they installed it in the first place.  The one I have to replace in black does not cover the lip only sits in the middle of the bumper.

So I was looking at this BUMPER PROTECTOR GUARD PLASTIC BLACK  on ebay I have previously bought a front grille from them I plan to install hopefully tomorrow. However it says that it does not fit the VRS model?

Is there any difference in the bumpers standard and vrs as to why this would not fit?

As far as I remember the vrs and scout ones are slightly deeper.

I got a milltec one for my Scout as the bumper lip was badly scratched and it's been on therefor  the past 5 years with no issues using the self adhesive strip it came with. So I'd recommend their version.

Cheers

The protector film should cover the holes alright, there's not much difference in the lip on normal and vRS bumpers so should also fit alright. You can always trim it if needed.

Cheers for the help guys, I decided on vrs specific one from Travall. Fits perfectly covers up screw holes and previous damage!

Good outcome 👍
