Octavia 2013 problem with the tail gate

I have a problem with opening the tail gate. The electric system is ok, but it will only open the 1 step on the lock. 

Its possible to open from the inside.

Any ideas?

My first suspect would be the solenoid that opens the lock getting tired, or perhaps the electrical connections corroding and reducing the available current.
