Problem with gear box auto

Featured Replies

Spotted oil on drive car pulled of drive in reverse. Went into drive car would not move, engine would not rev up in drive or reverse would not move. Had some one look at it he thinks it needs a new gearbox. Has anyone had same problem

Many thanks

Welcome.

Many have had the same problem.

?

How many miles on the car & how long have you had it?

It is a DQ200 DSG 7 spped twin dry clutch DSG.

http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/425419-dsg-gearbox   tToo late now if it never got that done.  You just do not want to pay more than is necessary to get yours fixed.

As to a new DSG required.  Unlikely if it is a leak and not a leak because something hit the box and cracked it.

(You might need parts other than just sorting the MCU if clutches worn etc.

Have someone else look at it that knows about these gearboxes, (Were they an Autobox Specialist that did?)

what they need to know is about DQ200,s, & about Skoda Service Campaign '34H5' on DQ200,s from 2023-2015 and the Software Update.

Preventative because of Pressure Issues, Pressure Actuator, leaks, cracks etc.

There are repair kits if that is the issue.

Check with a Dealership or Skoda UK if the Service Campaign was required and done since 2017.

So where the leak is from matters, is it the MCU and not actually the Oil in the Gearbox leaking but from the ECU.

There is a Pinned thread on the DSG,s at the top of the Skoda Mk2 Section.

I will ask a Mod to move your thread there.

Many thanks for replying. The car is a 2013 has done 115000. Had for a year.

Fabia auto

OK.

Skoda call it a S-A, Semi Automatic, but same thing.

So a DQ200 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG.

It needs diagnosed by someone that knows what they are doing, and repaired by the same.  So with all the gear and more than ideas.

All the best with it.

Hopefully it is the simplest of fixes, but until it is known where the leak is and why leaking anyone is just guessing what is required or the cost.
