BLT 1.9 96Kw the car spins but doesn't start, can't see ECU...

Featured Replies

Hello, Everyone.

BLT 1.9 96Kw. The car spins but doesn't start, I checked all the fuses (dashboard - battery - at the relay box... everything OK)... the check engine and glow plugs don't light up on dashboard - and I can't see the engine unit on the vag - the other units are communicating. I went through various CZ EN forums, these symptoms for 90% of the vw's mean relay 109 - BLT doesn't have that relay - it has a control unit/relay next to the battery... but I couldn't find any datasheets, pinouts or anything on the blt. So I don't know how to proceed - what to connect and how to diagnose. Has anyone solved it?

I will try to find which relay is associated with your engine ECU.

The one near battery is for glow plugs.

Check cabin fuse #14.

Fuel pump relay is in position 4 (top row 4th from left) of relay holder, ECU relay in position 15 (bottom row, furthest right).

The lack of ECU comms makes me think fuse 14, or ECU relay problems,
