Tried clearing but won’t go away

Check live data for the pedal position sensor 1 and 2, also do the same for throttle body. See which one isn’t moving in sync with the other.

do it with ignition on, engine off.

FAULT_TSK_IRREV_FAIL Will prevent ACC from working as there is an engine fault that can cause ACC to stop working so this fault will block it until the throttle fault is fixed.

Just come back from dropping it off at the dealers  over in The Wirral I bought her from end of Feb. They're going to sort it tomorrow.

In the meantime I have an Audi A3, don't like it lol

well the only update from yesterday is  that the workshop is still investigating.

Meanwhile found this  odd pocket in the back of the A3 (which I still dont like)

may as well chuck a picture of the A3 in.

2013 2.0TDi  , 189282 miles , from my old hometown.

There's nothing wrong with her per se , I just don't like it lol

Is it a courtesy car they gave you? Looks alright to me.

I wonder what the purpose of that cubby hole is hmm

Saying that the pockets on the superbs seats, anyone found a purpose for them? Is the driver meant to put something in the passenger pocket and passenger in drivers? 😮

loan car/courtesy car  , same horse different jockey lol

Oh its alright but the diesel is noisy compared to my petrol (although it does have plenty of grunt), I find the ride is too firm, seats are too low and also the boot is tiny. Also lacks Carplay, got an antiquated sat nav but apart from that its "fine" :)

so update on the car

they replaced the throttle pedal (end) but fault still present

There's throttle body on order  should be here monday

I keep hi-vis vests in one where they're easily accessed in case of emergency and a European road atlas in the other in case the sat nav ever goes on strike when we're away when I need it most.

I meant to ask.

I presume you're not talking about the pockets on the backs of the seats for rear passenger use are you?

I do recall seeing some Superbs have a pocket on the side. IIRC mine doesn't

Hope you arent footing the bill for the throttle pedal? If they want to guess the faulty parts then thats on them to pay for in my opinion.

I'll be honest they haven't explicitly confirmed  that but bear in mind this has gone back to them under the 6 month rule so legally it's on them (and yes they don't even need to use new parts, just fix the fault).

I'll worry about that once she's fixed but based on my experience with them so far I think it's going to be a non issue

It’s to pop in any parts you find that fall off under the dash, so the techs can easily find and chuck them in the bin and say they’ve refitted them…

Just had a text from Andy at AudiSaab, all sorted  and they're dropping it back off to me this PM

What was up with it?

  • Author

Will ask him tomorrow (they weren’t able to drop off this afternoon but that doesn’t bother me) as I can’t remember whether they were swapping the entire throttle body out or if there’s a sensor pack on there that can be swapped out.

@Danoid replacement throttle body and associated recoding
