Fuel Warning Light Indicator Fault

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just purchased a MK2 Octavia SE Plus (2011), when driving on headlamps I noticed that the fuel warning light (yellow) on the Speedo came on when indicating, flashing at the same rate as the indicators. The light shouldn't be coming on at all when the fuel is over half a tank, so I thought that was a bit odd.

After airing the car out all day, I've tried it again - it turns off along with the other lights when you turn the key one turn, when indicators are used it's off, but when the engine is started it blinks with the indicators. Any idea what could be causing this? I read a post mentioning it can be an issue with the lights when the car has been closed up for a long time and humid, this car hasn't moved much for a while.

Any help appreciated.
