New driveshaft major issue

Featured Replies

They do have movement. What does it feel like compared to the otherside?

Sounds more like a failure in balancing?

The otherside has no movement at all. Certainly far too much play, I am returning part.

Problem started as soon as fitted new shaft.

Where did you buy it from? One of the cheapest suppliers has a terrible reputation and reviews.

Can't remember the name just now, but I think I'd recognise it if it matches what you say.

That's not ringing a bell as the terrible one, but read reviews in case I'm wrong.

Yeah I just think I got unlucky. The other side which is relatively new is the same brand and no issues there.

But if it was a low mileage VRS I'd get genuine tbh and avoid after market.

I've bought and fitted a few secondhand genuine from ebay without any problems.

Even just to avoid changing a CV boot!

My thoughts as well, there is one really really bad company out there.

I've done a boot or two. Yes, it's a bit of a faff. Messy and you need those special pliers which I had to buy for the clamps...
