Hello Everyone,

I'm Steve from the Wirral. I've joined this fab forum because as well as having a 2019 Superb, my son Max (18) has a 1996 Felicia Estate. He actually has 2 cars - he bought a 2009 Renault Megane 1.6, and drove it for 6months. He then found a low-mileage 1996 Skoda Felicia Estate 1.3 which he absolutely loves. Apart from the sunroof, it's as basic as they come - no PS, drum brakes, window winders, etc - but he absolutely LOVES it. I've joined this forum to hopefully meet likeminded Felicia owners and share info re: parts, issues, Meets, etc.

DIY ABS warning Fix

Yesterday our Roomster started beeping and flashing the warning light about the ABS. My first thought was to replace the ABS sensors – they are around £7 each and seem to be easy enough to replace by removing the rear wheels. I could also give the connections a bit of a clean at the same time. What are my chances chances of fixing the issue within 45 minutes of DIY work? I don’t have any diagnostic tools, but if this is a common fault with an easy fix it would be great to know what other peo

I have a 2010 Fabia 1.2 and the ODB port isn't playing ball. Tried 2 different scanners and they both fail to auth with the ECU. I initially thought it might be a bad fuse so I replaced num 22, didnt change a thing. Slipped the port out of the dash and made sure that the wires are fully seated in the connector, no change. I've tried with electrics on and also engine on, doesn't make a difference. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to look for next?

Hi, My tensioner failed at low revs and speed, the car juddered and stalled. It restarted and I drove home about a mile steadily. It seemed to drive normally if a little noisy. Next day it would start but not run. The check engine light was on. Pretty sure the Timing jumped a tooth. Q. do the valves always hit the pistons? do the valves always bend? Might I get away with an new tensioner and re-time? TIA

Hi, I'm looking at a 72k mile Skoda Superb 65 plate, hopefully lots of motorway miles. It looks good, my main concerns being the lack of dsg oil change & potential for carbon build up due to direct injection. I currently have a mk6 Golf GTI (EA888 Gen 1) which didn't support dual injection & bit me when the carbon build up & clogged injectors caused a flooded cylinder. I've tried to research this but I'm getting conflicting information around this engine & I wasn't sure if s
