Part number for TSR

Featured Replies

I would like to get TSR / VZE.

As it cannot be currently coded easily or at all I rang the local Skoda dealer to get a quote. Apparently I am the first customer inquiring about this. The very helpful parts manager did not find it in possible retrofits nor did he find a partnumber.

It was a cost option when the car ordered new.

Has anyone had TSR activated by a dealer or knows about part numbers for it?

Which year is your superb?

If it is the pre 2020 3Q0 camera it can be coded easily.

After this it’s the later 2Q0 cameras which cannot be coded nor hacked, meaning it’s not possible sorry

It is a FL 2023 with a 2Q0 camera.

I have gone through the various coding sites tried myself - just error messages.

That is why I called the dealer.

For post-2020 vehicles is the camera/TSR protected by SFD? ie. if you get SFD access, does that mean the camera can be activated for TSR?

SFD does not protect the TSR side of things. It’s done with a SWAP code that unless someone manages to reverse engineer, won’t be hackable.

the dealer won’t have a clue sorry, and sadly its not possible at all.

as things begin to move towards a paid piece of software in cars, this encryption and wall will only begin to become the norm.

Hi ApertureS,

Do you work at a Skoda / VAG dealer? Why would a software upgrade impossible for a dealer with access to VW mothership?

Hi,

Does anyone know if I can ditch my 2Q0 A5 camera and fit a 3Q0 camera instead if this is codeable without swap/fec palaver?

I contacted Skoda customer service and it seems impossible for them to even get me a code for money.

The dealers are limited by 'computer says no' and the general techs do not have the background knowledge to manually do things as they are not taught this nor have access to the engineering side of things.

It is not possible even with access to dealer software/training/servers because they simply do not offer it, meaning they have no process/cost/parts/procedure/software to carry this out.

A 3Q0 camera requires a completely different windscreen as the camera is physically different, the coding is then different and some modules may not like it - such as if you have matrix headlights, these wont work. Same for if you have travel assist.

Unless someone a hell of a lot smarter than me hacks it, then it wont be possible - these cameras have been out for 5 years now and ive not seen any hacks for them like this yet.
