My 2009 mkii estate has a single door warning light in the dash.

 

The door warning light is permanently on, and the bell rings when they car moves from standing position.

I tested the brown / brown-yellow connections from the driver's window motor cable (within it plugged in) but there is no short.

windows work fine.

 

only noticable thing is, the boot get confused occasionally and you have to unlock/lock with the fob before the boot will close.

otherwise everything else seems normal.

 

i understood from another post, with all doors shut, the brown / brown-yellow should be open.

would appreciate a wiring diagram and confirmation, on how the brown / brown-yellow control is supposed to work.

I can add. I am detecting 3v on the yellow-brown when the doors are open or closed and whether the key is off (out) or in (on)
