Codes for activating controls on steering wheel after instalation

Featured Replies

Hello,

In a YETI Face Lift 2017, I installed a new steering wheel with controls (multimedia/volume and bord computer). The original one was without controls at all.

The computers does not know  did this swap and upgrade. Is there a code to change somewhere so that the controls will work?

My computer parts are these: 5K0953569BD under the steering wheel, and 7N0907530BJ for gateway computer.

Thank you for help!

Hi, did you upgrade the steering controller under the steering column - it's flat black within a yellow connector close to the dash.

I Just changed the simple steering wheel without controls with a lather one with controls. Also I changes the small cables connecting the airbag and the steering wheel.

I suppose I have all the hardware installed, but maybe the gateway or other computer  must be coded?

Thanks for help!

@Tudormara sorry mate, I think you've only done half of the job.  The steering controller ECU under the steering column usually needs to be changed to a highline version.

Probably best you google search 'retrofit mfsw' for Octavia/Superb of the same year which get modded more frequently than Yetis, as the experience I have is with 2010 models.
