Help with power issues 2.0 TDI Vrs

Featured Replies

My VRS is been having power issues this last month and with other issues is turning into a money pit.

I got the car serviced and the next day it broke down a few metres from my house. The car started about 10 minutes later and I sent it back to the mechanic who claims an O ring must have blew off the diesel filter.

Everything was fine till a few days later when it broke down again and this time it took longer to start back up again but with a noticeable loss of power and chugging.

The mechanic originally suspected the fuel pump but determined it was the DPF but I was getting nothing on the diagnostics and no engine management light.

A few days later the light came on and DPF fault was coming up on the computer.

I took it and got the DPF cleaned and then mapped out and got it back and now it has alot more power but still a noticeable lack in the lower gears, the car doesn't take off like it used to and the revs are quite high.

I'm at my wits and bank balances end trying to figure this out.

Any help is much appreciated.
