Electrical Niggles, and the EA888

Hi Guys. 

So ive got a couple of niggles with the car at the moment. 

My cruise control, and most functionality of the HUD doesnt work. When pressing the cruise button it says "driver assist button faulty". with the HUD i cannot cycle through MPG, temp etc. Stuck with either the phone or Range. 

My other niggle is that out of 3 12V plugs in the car, the only one that works is the one in the boot, the other 2 dont work (despite the one in the front having a green lighting in there)  

Also, i doubt anyone will be able to answer this one as it seems my engine is quite rare (2.0tsi EA888 with DSG) but has anyone mapped this engine? if so was it worth it?  I am happy with the performance of the car it is something of a sleeper, but i wouldnt mind making it SOUND a bit more grunty than it does.

Finally, my car was a CAT N, YY61 ARX, wondering if the old owner is on here and could shed some light on just how bad it was when it had the shunt? Repairs all done but just curious.
