Is it possible to get an adaptor so that I can plug my phone into the USB for Android auto but also have a pass through to enable another phone to be charged?

 

My lighter socket is dead so I can't use that for a usb adapter. Maybe replacing that part is not too expensive at a dealer?

They were typically used to power external hard drives. Only one port provides data which should stop the car getting confused by 2 phones being attached.

 

However, and it's a big HOWEVER, I doubt the port on the car can provide enough power to charge 2 phones.

 

If it was me, I'd look at getting the accessory socket replaced.

Does the socket in the boot work? If not then because they share the same fuse it could be as simple as a blown fuse.

Superb. The boot socket does not work either! Maybe it's the fuse! When I had trouble with my infotainment upgrade before, they posted a schematic of the fuses (below), do you know where I can locate the relevant number for the lighter sockets? Thank you!

Brilliant. According to that page Cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses in the Skoda Octavia are the fuses #40 (12 volt power socket) and #46 (230 volt power socket) in the Instrument panel fuse box.

According to this point in the code, this is the way to tell if they are blown, will that work?

 

 

I had a blown fuse the other week after dropping something into the 12v socket which shorted it.

The fuses are behind the glove box and it took about 10mins to replace the fuse with most of that time being to refit the glovebox flap.

It's an easy job.

Thanks all, 2min job to pop off the glove box (press left side and pull down) and compare the fuse box to the picture above, only a fuse in #40, 20A, it's blown, will pop into a motor factors later for a new one, they sell a mix pack of 5 for €5.
