Engine jerking and flashing lights

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

So i recently bought used Škoda Kodiaq 2017 110kw fwd with 7 gear DSG transmission, car has 133k km. After i bought i drove like 400km and everything was okay and the next morning started the car to go to work and it started jerking as shown in youtube link. In the beginning it jerked once per trip, after fed days it got more constantly and kept jerking for like 5min. Car has been checked by dealer multiple times, no errors anything. They changed MAF sensor and updated ECU at least thats what they told me. For few days it was alright until today, it jerked for 5min and shut off, after manual restart it automatically shut of again. After i started it again it was flashing all sensor lights and errors. I went back to my house and turned off engine and started again and all lights were gone, glad i took the video of it i uploaded it.

Maybe someone has experienced same thing and give some advice what should be checked or done?

Car is going back to dealer in 20.06 and ill update this post after i get it back.

Thanks for the help!

@TTruba Welcome.

Could you please state what engine with 110 kW / 150 PS you have 1.6 or 2.0 TDI?

Its 2.0 TDI 110kw 150 PS

Sorry no idea but hopefully someone will be along that does, but then the Technicians at the dealership are best placed.

As well as playing lucky dip and changing the likes of the MAF sensor are the regular service items up to date, Fresh Air Filter, Fuel Filter and has the DSG been serviced twice?

Based on information they gave me that all services had been done in time and at the dealer. Its hard to know if thats the truth, because car is imported from Germany. And next service is at 140k Km or october.

OK,

but services carried out on time, Oil & Inspection Services (Engine Oil & Filter services) & Extended Scope does not mean they were to the Manufacturers Guidelines, Recommendations, or Specification  as in extras done. Brake Fluid, Pollen, Air or Fuel filters or the DSG.

Surely there should be a record of the actual Service & Maintenance and any Warranty work done.  Items serviced.
