Manually unlocking with key blade does not unlock all doors.

Featured Replies

Hi,

My both key fob of Octavia MK3 malfunctioning, they drain battery in a week. So I am using key blade to lock/unlock doors. Locking driver door with key blade automatically locks all doors. But unlocking driver door with key blade does not unlock all doors. I need to turn ignition on and wait a few seconds then I can press the lock/unlock button inside the car to unlock all doors so my wife and children can get in the car :)

Is there a way to program the car with VCDS so all doors unlocks automatically when unlock the driver door with key blade?

Thanks

Rahman

AFAIK the unlock with a key blade is a purely mechanical unlock with no electrical unlock signal being generated.

I am not sure of that. It behaves weird. Yesterday I was with my son and when I unlock with blade, it opened all doors, my son could open back door without waiting me to turn on ignition. Then I tried several times lock/unlock and all the times all doors unlocked. But this morning it did not worked, when I unlocked with blade other doors did not get unlocked automatically.

So I don't know what triggers this different behavior. Maybe it does not unlock all doors after the cars enters deep sleep?

Sounds possible.
