What does coasting have to do with start/stop, those are two different things on a Scala.

Thanks for only quoting part of my post.  Read the next sentence:  you won’t go the same distance on the overrun (ie in gear) as you will coasting, because of engine braking.   So to go the same distance, ie lifting off say at the one bar distance sign, and coming to a stop as you leave a motorway, you’ll need to feed fuel in - at greater revs than tick over.

Oops.  I read your first paragraph to say the coasting would use more fuel.  Humble apologies if that is incorrect.

So any recommendations on pcv valve maintenance? I heard the 1.5 you can replace the rubber diaphragm. Id rather change it for peace of mind then have it fail.
