Anyone help please, why does the software keep covering up half my reversing camera with black. I suspect it’s supposed to happen on proximity of hand to screen but randomly happens all the time. It seems to serve no purpose whatsoever, other than covering up half the reversing camera!!

Any idea if its factory fit or an aftermarket fitted camera?

Pretty sure that screen is transparent on mine...

 

Does hitting the black triangle in the middle of the screen hide it?

Thanks. Yes, if I hit the triangle it collapses to the left then is transparent.

@pab567 any chance there is a software update that addresses this issue please 🙏🤞

I have no clue as I don't know SW versions of your modules, at least gateway, infotainment unit and PDC/PLA controller.

On mine with the factory camera, that left section is slightly transparent but actually only stays on for a second or so and then slides to the left out of the way showing the full camera view.

 

I don't think there is a setting but there could be that controls this if you dive into the settings menu.

Thanks for taking the time. Mine can also show the car outline with a transparent background, but chooses not to 🤔 looks like a different software version I reckon. Appreciate your time.
