Good afternoon.

 

I've got an issue with the drivers side front seat belt, it keeps locking while trying to pull it out.  I've taken the cover off and unbolted the seat belt from and took some photos of the part numbers.  

 

2014 MKII Monte Carlo Hatchback

 

Does this have to be the exact same seatbelt?  I've found online that have a slightly different part number.

 

When installing a new one, does the car need to have anything reset?

If you try silicone spray on the whole belt and pull it in and out a few times it can fix the problem, just keep spraying and pulling out. I fitted one to a golf not long ago and it needed coding in. It had one pretentioner plug and another large module plugm
