Hey there,

I saw that the new Passat has the option to exit or enter saved parking spaces while the driver is outside and handling it from the mobile app. It would be a great feature for some of the spaces I have to use. Anyone has some insights when this will reach the Superb? The local dealer says a lot of things are coming including this, but they cannot provide a list of planned features nor a timeline for them:(

And something annoying for the Phev, the hybrid view is so half baked it seems misses all text about remaining electricity control, it’s so unintuitive I had to check the manual where that feature is hidden. And at the same time in the manual they described the possibility to ask the car to make and store some electricity (for example for green zones or precooling), but that feature seems to be totally missing. Anyone found it?

Hi,

Can you remote start heating/cooling, my dealer here on Finland said that this is not yet possible (model PHEV Selection 10” central screen, no navigation)

My Superb PHEV is coming on september and I wonder to cancel order because of missing features

Hi,

I have an L&K, but this is a standard phev feature as far as I know.

Remote heating/cooling works from the app if the battery is above 20%. You can set a desired temp, it starts for 20 minutes, but can be also cancelled from the app.

You also have additional options from the car:

- configure if remote heating should also turn on seat heating/cooling, steering wheel heating and to what level.

- you can schedule the preheating if you have fixed schedule

- you can start the thing manually without having to keep the car on ignitation from the main screen(I used it when I had to take a long meeting from the car)

I hope this helps your decision! In general I am very happy with the car, but I am a bit puzzled why cant I control remotely the windows, trunk and sunroof as they are all just electronic devices like the locks. My main usecase would be to let the hot air out on the roof before precoolong, or leave it open, but if rain comes close it remotely. I had a colleague who watched his XC90 get filled up water from the top of the mountain he went hiking. Such feature would have saved his car. Or you know, auto closing if rain is detected 😅

Here are some screenshots from the app, maybe its easier this way. You also get some control with regards to charging, but thats where it stops currently.

That's the way it should be (In my current MB C300 e there is those end more).

I look UK Skoda and all Suberb models there are 13" screen and navi, in my coming Superb there are 10" screen and no navi.

I build my Selection-model (different model names every country) and 'remote access and online' need also add'Assist Driven package', I don't have that package

My dealer send me picture where says that remote command comes later when they know how it can implement, normal OTA don't work

Sounds weird about the package connection. Sim card is mandatory for SOS, they just charge for the convenience features. My car has it included for 3 years, but even after this is something you can. buy in the app or car without visiting a dealer…

However, I just checked and the 3 year care-connect feature indeed asks for the bigger screen in Selection models in Hungary as well.

Honestly after deciding on Phev, the rest of the extras were only causing around 10-15% in price, so I decided to go for full convenience this time :)

Hi,

A Few questions, can you remote schedule and pause AC charging from MySkoda-app?

Can you remote open/lock doors?

AC charging only 3 options:

-max charge limit

-5w or 10w

-if you can remove the cable if charged but car locked

locking/unlocking doors:

yes. also if you leave a key inside it will be disabled until you remotly open it. However if you place the disabled key in the cup holder it gets reenabled even if you dont open the car. Havent tested if it works with the alarm going yet 🙃

Thanks, no schedule, no pause

you can probably hack it by setting the charge to % above the current charge level to pause, then increase to restart.

  • 2 weeks later...

I cancel my order.
