2010 Superb MK2 bulb replacement.

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my N/S low beam bulb replacement. I took it into my local Halfords who were very enthusiastic about replacing it but after about 45 mins said they couldn't fix it "Sorry. Theres a wiring fault". I'm just wondering if anyone knows of an independant Skoda savvy electro mechanic  near Kidderminster who may do call out work. I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis so my days of leaning over a car are over. The last time I had issues with a main beam bulb out I took it to an independant VW shop who charged me £450!! I understand he had to strip the front bumper off to access the bits so perhaps the cost was justified. Given the age and value of the car now there's a limit as to how much it's worth spending on it, perhaps eBay spares or repair and look for a good used Kamiq, or similar? Although the Superb is great for driver legroom the seats are too low for us now so a slightly elevated SUV may be better.
